Each member brings a unique perspective and a deep commitment to our mission—whether it’s supporting local authors, hosting impactful events, or providing nonprofit mentoring across Ohio. Together, we’re working to create lasting change, combat the effects of segregation in Cleveland, and foster a community where books and ideas can thrive. Elaine Betting, MLIS

Elaine Betting is a former librarian dedicated to expanding literacy opportunities through diverse methods and media. Her current goal is to learn about different cultures and viewpoints to approach every person with empathy, compassion, and kindness.
Jennifer Lisy, Ph. D.

TREASURER
Dr. Jen is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at Ohio University, dedicated to advancing literacy and justice for all. She actively lives out this mission through her work with the RRC board and as a teacher educator, where she empowers future educators to promote equity and inclusion.
