Marlie is nonbinary, and her pronouns are she/they. Like all merle Chihuahuas, she is a lifelong disability rights activist.

Erzsebet “Cha Cha” Quinn
Our Foundress
Cha Cha fled the Bolshevik Revolution with her jewels sewn into the hem of her gown. After many years of wandering around postwar Europe, she joined the Sputnik 2 mission, but when her colleague Laika died of human sabotage, Cha Cha abandoned space exploration. She stowed away on a train for Liverpool, then a ship to the Americas, where she was referred to The Reading Room CLE by a placement agency for elderly dogs of respectable backgrounds who had fallen on impecunious times.
Cha Cha graced us with her regal and imperious presence for five years. She died of battle injuries in 2022, and is much missed.
