This basket includes nostalgia, humor and fun, all wrapped up in a set of Cleveland memories! Calvin & Hobbes, the original first bound omnibus edition, combines with Superman #313, four sets of trading cards, a vintage Pez dispenser, Hot Wheels and Superman collectibles in their original boxes, a Giles pin for Buffy fans, a set of Disney postage stamps and our shop favorite: Ernie offering the reader an apple and a book. As if that isn't enough, our friends at Star Pop Vintage & Modern, who donated this set, ALSO included a $25 gift certificate to Cleveland's favorite toy and collectible store.
How does the Bookshelf work?
The Brownhoist Bookshelf is a self-serve book kiosk that operates under a version of “caffè sospeso”. This means a few things: 1) your purchase of a book makes a book available for free to someone else, 2) you can choose to purchase a book (Book It Forward) for someone else in the future, and 3) you may select a book for free if there are prepaid books in stock. Find more answers here. Books are selected from the physical bookshelf at the Brownhoist. The Reading Room CLE does not ship self-serve kiosk books.
